Videx Security Unveils XPROX-MO

Videx Security has launched the XPROX-MO, a sophisticated Mifare proximity reader designed for the Videx WS4 web server access control system that is compatible with third-party systems supporting OSDP. This reader supports various Mifare cards, including Classic, Plus, Desfire, and Ultralight, with high-security Desfire card compatibility using 128-bit AES encryption. It fits a standard 40mm x 40mm cutout, making it suitable for both new and retrofit installations.

The XPROX-MO features IP65 ingress protection for durability in harsh environments, LED status indicators, and an internal buzzer for clear feedback. It includes a built-in micro-USB for easy configuration and firmware updates, and RS485 connectivity for seamless integration. Additionally, it supports multiple card formats like HID iClass CSN and NTAG. Rob Sands, Videx’s Technical Director, highlights its flexibility, security, and ease of integration, making it ideal for various access control applications.
