With a focus on ease of use and efficiency, the CathexisVision 2022 solution features new products and features to enhance any VMS installation.
CathexisVision Carbon
This year has seen the release of CathexisVision Carbon, a sleek user interface with an enhanced feature set. With improved performance, Carbon offers the ultimate in-operator ease-of-use. Carbon is easy to navigate, simplifying the monitoring of CathexisVision sites.
Amongst its features, you will find new automatic monitoring tools, the option to inherit multiple user roles, improved usability of existing CathexisVision Smart Search features, enhanced video rendering support, and the ability to customisable layouts. Operators can promptly retrieve events and footage with metadatabase search and filter tools. Carbon also supports shared access to resources across multiple devices.
CathexisVision Mobile
CathexisVision 2022 supports remote connectivity for a new mobile app. CathexisVision Mobile boasts impressively fast video streaming, and a simplified interface and setup, providing customers with greater mobile video management capacity than ever before. CathexisVision Mobile offers simple operation, quick analysis, greater control and customizable options.
Harnessing the power of AI
The CathexisVisio video analytics suite uses the latest Artificial Intelligence technology and deep learning models to analyse footage and optimize the control room. Operators can create a safe, efficient site by configuring video analytics to automatically monitor the site and trigger actions based on user-defined parameters. Choose from several algorithms – such as object classification, line crossing, automatic number plate recognition and more – to find the most effective solution, based on the scene and the site’s requirements. In CathexisVision 2022, the addition of further object models ensures even greater accuracy in detecting people, with applications in object classification, performing people proximity analysis, and measuring occupancy.
Search incidents and retrieve footage easily
CathexisVision’s Smart Search options – including motion search, snap search, and activity trails – complement traditional methods, such as using a timeline or time and date, to save time and guide operators to relevant footage. Motion Search can be accessed from the playback screen and uses stored metadata. The operator selects the region of interest in the camera scene and starts the search. Results are then flagged in the timeline. Snap Search can pinpoint an incident’s time using linked snapshots and play the video immediately. Users can issue a bookmark on the recorded footage and add comments. Activity Trails display a time-stamped, colour-coded overlay on the recorded scene, highlighting the ‘trail’ of any motion. CatObserver, which now supports Ubuntu 20.04, allows a viewing monitor or screen to be configured as a virtual camera so that activity viewed on the screen can be recorded. This footage can be accessed and archived without needing to retrieve footage from all the cameras involved in an incident.
Security and compliance
Cathexis is committed to data protection and information security. Several cryptographic techniques are applied to protect the system. Footage exported from CathexisVision is secure – playback can be controlled by passwords, footage can be watermarked, and archives are protected from being exported to media files. Original footage and metadata can only be played via the proprietary Cathexis Archive Viewer. In addition to these measures, features such as the option to restrict camera views using privacy zones, and our robust support infrastructure, aid our clients’ privacy compliance efforts.
CathexisVision is used in retail, logistics and transport, healthcare, mining and manufacturing, education, banking, residential and commercial estates, city surveillance, and several other market sectors worldwide. CathexisVision’s advanced, flexible, and cost-effective video management software provides clients with the highest security, efficiency, and return on investment.
