Have you registered for the security skills event?

PSI’s Next Generation event in association with Skills for Security and IFSEC kicks off on 22nd June at Luton Hoo with a comprehensive seminar programme aimed at security systems installers and developing skills in the sector

The agenda includes presentations and interactive discussions to promote and advise installation companies on apprenticeships, training and good business practise when it comes to the latest technologies.

Covering issues such as recruitment, staff retention, training, IT and more the programme also includes an open forum involving NSI, SSAIB and the BSIA to discuss various topics relating to the future development of the sector. 

Here is a breakdown of what is in store for attendees during the day:

Grow your workforce with apprentices

Do you know what apprenticeships are available to your business and what the course objectives and accredited levels are?

Installer Forum

A panel discussion focusing on several key issues including All-IP, ECHO and Standards before opening up the floor for installers.  

Cyber security

Utilising live demos this session will outline how organisations can avoid weaknesses and address vulnerabilities before criminal hackers have the chance to exploit them.

Developing and retaining staff 

This session covers why people leave the industry, the skills shortage, recruitment planning and attracting the right people. This will be followed by a Round Table discussion on retaining engineers and recruitment strategies.

AI and the Cloud – the route forward

An overview of customer technology expectations is followed by a look at the principles of cloud and how the security sector fares against other AI sectors. The final session covers how installers can be more knowledgeable and support their clients more effectively.

Exhibition Area

Some of the most innovative companies in the sector will be on-hand to introduce installers to the latest solutions in their product portfolio for an essential opportunity to see the next generation of security systems and services.  

Exhibitors include: Hikvision, Puretech, Inner Range, ADI, Cento, Cloudview, CSL, FIA, Honeywell, Johnson Controls, Pyronix, Takex, Texecom, Videcon and Videoloft.  

Next Generation takes place from 10am on 22nd June 2022 at Warren Weir at Luton Hoo.
