New Edge AI cameras enhance surveillance offerings as IDIS expands project portfolio

by Geny Caloisi
IDIS will be showcasing an expanded range of edge AI cameras and a new 2MP video intercom at The Security Event at Birmingham NEC from 30 April to 2 May. This range is part of IDIS’s comprehensive solutions offering, which includes everything needed for a wide variety of video surveillance projects.

At TSE 2024, IDIS will demonstrate how customers can easily benefit from top-tier deep-learning video analytics, with applications across commercial premises, public spaces, and perimeters. Over the past year, IDIS has expanded its business, supporting its integration partners in a broader range of projects, including NDAA-compliant public area CCTV monitoring and video systems for the NHS, as well as affordable solutions for the education sector, hospitality, casinos, retailers, and small to medium commercial businesses.

The highly accurate, plug-and-play, and NDAA-compliant IDIS edge AI range aims to reduce false alarms, improve the responsiveness of security teams, and support greater efficiency with faster forensic search and investigation thanks to metadata. The nine new models, equipped with the up to 98% accurate IDIS Deep Learning Engine on the edge, deliver accurate detection and auto-tracking of suspicious individuals and vehicles, enabling a rapid response to alerts for intrusion, line cross, and loitering events. These new models feature NIR Lightmaster technology for evidential image capture in the dark, true WDR, H.265, and IDIS Intelligent Codec, offering significant storage and bandwidth savings.

IDIS’s new 2MP outdoor-ready video intercom (DC-I6212WRX) is the first NEMA 4X, IK10, and IP66 rated product of its kind offered by any video surveillance vendor. It can withstand extreme temperatures and harsh environmental conditions such as heavy rain, dust, and pollution. This gives systems integrators a powerful new access control device and offers their customers a range of performance benefits, including advanced user functions from the totally cost- and license-free VMS, IDIS Center, and unmatched durability.

James Min, Managing Director of IDIS Europe, states that IDIS the team is eager to meet systems integrators and end-users and show them the latest innovations, including a range of AI analytics options to meet project requirements of any size, scope, and scale. These innovations aim to strengthen security, enhance safety, deliver business intelligence in retail and hospitality settings, and increase operational efficiency in surveillance.
