Webeye debut of Vigileyez, its brand new fully battery-powered RF video alarm system, at the Security Event in Birmingham was a resounding success.
Vigileyez provides an off-the-grid, flexible solution for rapid deployment installations, whether for a mobile or temporary security install or permanent outdoor asset and infrastructure protection.
Vigileyez features a battery-powered outdoor high definition, dual-tech RF camera and an RF 4G LTE outdoor panel. Other RF peripheral devices include an internal high-definition camera, shock/door and window sensors, a unique input/output unit, an LED keypad and a badge reader.
Designed and manufactured by Webeye in Europe in the UK. this ‘Install and Go’ camera system has no wires and can be fully programmed and re-programmed after installation, from anywhere in the World, at any time.
Chris Coughlin, Webeye’s Commercial Director, says, “The camera’s detection technology combines a traditional PIR detection (Passive InfraRed) which captures motion and uses microwave technology to act as a second confirmation of an alarm activation. This gives built-in false alarm filtering, reducing nuisance alarms by over 90% directly on the device – instead of relying on cloud services to filter the alarms.”
Vigileyez cameras and peripherals transmit back to the panel via 868/915 or 920 Mhz, dependent on region, which uses a 2G/4G network sim to transmit alarms and images back through the cloud to WebeyCMS.
“Vigileyez only connects to WebeyeCMS, where it can be monitored 24/7.” explains Coughlin and adds, “From WebeyeCMS, we can send the alarms out to other third party alarm platforms via WebeyeConnect, and all this happens in a matter of seconds.”
The outdoor camera is unique to Webeye and features a 5-megapixel image resolution – the highest-resolution battery-powered system on the market. The indoor camera also has an excellent image resolution of 2 megapixels.
Coughlin concludes, “Vigileyez provides up to 64 times better image quality than other cameras in the same category. In addition, it has built-in false alarm filtering, double the battery life and more than double the cameras per panel. These are just some reasons why we are so excited about this launch. By integrating Vigileyez with WebeyeCMS’ cloud alarm platform, stakeholders can receive alarms and video clips directly on their smartphones. Operators can view and manage alarms using a simple web browser in a control room. WebeyeCMS also maintains a full audit trail of who opened alarms on a smartphone or a web browser.
