IDIS Launches Deep Learning powered 5MP edge AI camera range

by Geny Caloisi

IDIS has launched a range of Edge AI cameras that the Korean manufacturer claims are powerful and easy to deploy. As part of the company’s focus on extending the use of its self-developed IDIS Deep Learning Engine to meet security, safety, and operational needs, the new cameras offer AI-powered appliances, servers, and software for organizations of all sizes in a variety of vertical markets.

The DC-D4537RXA and DC-D4537HRXA, and DC-T4537HRXA come with the powerful IDIS Deep Learning Engine on board, enabling highly efficient edge processing. With these new models, users can enhance their video surveillance with up to 98% accurate object detection and classification using the comprehensive NDAA-compliant range of DirectIP® cameras, reducing false alarms, improving security and safety, and adding value to their security operations.

AI capabilities on the edge support operators with detecting objects such as people, faces, and vehicles and improve image quality. AI features include line crossing, intrusion, object, loitering and face detection.

These models are indoor and outdoor compatible and combine AI with IR LEDs to reduce the noise of low-light environments to allow accurate motion detection. They also feature IDIS Smart Failover; true WDR; H.265, IDIS Intelligent Codec; and PoE. In addition to a rapid, plug-and-play installation and seamless connectivity with IDIS network recorders, users can choose between the free IDIS Center or enterprise-class IDIS Solution Suite VMS, all of which deliver a low total cost of ownership.
