Safecrowds gets counter-terrorism credentials

by Geny Caloisi

The Perimeter Security Suppliers Association (PSSA) has accredited Safecrowds, a security and counter-terrorism company, as a member, confirming its professionalism in specifying and installing hostile vehicle mitigation equipment.

PSSA is a trade association for high-security perimeter protection equipment and products, including certified HVM systems.

Organisations must go through a robust application and vetting process to be assessed as either an Installer Member or a Manufacturer Member of the PSSA. Safecrowds has passed the thorough acceptance process.

Rory Goldrick, Founder and Director of  Safecrowds, explains: “At  Safecrowds, we have the expertise to provide Threat Vulnerability & Risk Assessments and Vehicle Dynamics Assessments to inform the correct and proportionate specification of HVM systems, along with the experience to install certified solutions in as tested configurations to maximise their performance while supporting operational efficiency and normal crowd flows.

“Membership of the PSSA provides third-party endorsement that this is the case, giving our clients – new and existing – complete confidence that we have the tried and tested capabilities they need to keep people, property and assets safe and secure with trusted HVM systems from a reliable and professional partner.’

Safecrowds added counter-terrorism security and HVM services to the company’s extensive security services portfolio because large venues, events, and stadiums are becoming increasingly aware of the terror threat and the need to mitigate the risk of an attack.
