In December 2023, the European Union introduced the AI Act, a landmark legislation regulating AI systems’ development and deployment within the EU. It’s noteworthy that, at this juncture, security cameras do not possess generative AI capabilities. This might come in the near future but for now, AI only interprets data in accordance with its programming.
