Axis presents ‘The power of one’

by Geny Caloisi
This summer, Axis communications provided a training webinar to introduce its concept of ‘The Power of one’, the company’s end-to-end solution to be carried out by a single installer.

By combining video management software (VMS) and hardware integration, Axis aims to eliminate the frustration often associated with video management software (VMS). The user interface, license, support point, and design tool are all included in one solution from one vendor.

End users and system integrators benefit from the Power of One, explains David Needham, EMEA Business Development Programme Manager, “ The ‘Power of One’ refers to one solution from one vendor; with one user interface; one license for each device; one point of contact for support; and one design tool. This means full system compatibility and a simpler arrangement that removes the frustration and delivers peace of mind.”

For instance, the Axis Camera Station uses a simple licence model, so you pay for just one licence per device. There are no hidden extras or annual software maintenance fees. This highly versatile software can control IP audio, intercom devices, body-worn cameras, radar, and even our strobe sirens. The addition of smart-search functionality, health monitoring and video redaction capabilities, all included as standard, completes a solution packed with smart functionality at incredible value for money.

Axis Camera Station provides a single point of support for the entire system, including video, audio, access control and any other Axis devices. The support teams are available 24 hours a day, 5 days a week.

The AXIS Site Designer facilitates the design of the entire Axis system, supporting the single-vendor approach. Using the tool, you can design and test an entire solution virtually, including devices, recording equipment, and accessories such as camera brackets, which are often overlooked. Video, audio, access control, radar, and analytics software can all be included in a design project. It is also possible to generate a wide variety of outputs, including bandwidth reports, sales quotes, a bill of materials, a system proposal, and even maps showing the area covered by the devices.

David concludes,  “The Power of One concept, brought to life through a single-vendor approach from Axis, represents a further step towards the creation of a smarter, safer world.”
